The Coaches Clinic is for coaches who want to learn how to go from teaching players how to hit, to teaching their team how to run an offense. Attendees will work with University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dan Fisher and former USA Women's National Team Assistant and current Canadian National Team Assistant Joe Trinsey in both classroom and on-court sessions in this one-day clinic.
Topics will include technical (teaching cues and drill design for hitting various offensive patterns), tactical (how to integrate multiple attackers into a coherent offensive scheme), and strategic (how to evolve your offense over the course of a match) considerations. The sessions will feature video breakdowns of regular and post-season scout video of University of Pittsburgh and attendees will get to see how Coach Fisher analyzes video and uses that in his training sessions.
While this clinic is open to high school and club coaches, as well as collegiate coaches, attendees should be familiar with basic attacking fundamentals as we will discuss coaching intermediate and advanced players and how to build on existing fundamentals.
